Dr. Govind Nepal, a Professor of Economics and a former Member of National Planning Commission, and Chief Economic Adviser to the Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal, has been contributing to policy making as a high-level policy adviser to the Government since last few decades in the areas of Development Planning, Water resources management, Energy, MDGs/SDGs, Climate Change and Disaster Management. Dr. Nepal has been providing advisory and consultancy services to various bilateral and multilateral agencies.   He had/has been associated with various agencies including the followings:

-Advisor/Senior Advisor, National Planning Commission, GoN (1997-1998/2007)

-Board Member, Nepal Electricity Authority (2008-2009)

-Founder, Board of Director, Mega Bank Limited (2012-2014)

-Member, National Planning Commission, Government of Nepal (2014-2015)

-Chief Economic Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal (2015-2016)

-Vice President, Nepal Economic Association (2020 onwards)

-Member, Provincial Development Council, Province 5 (2019-2022)

-Board of Director, Institute for Strategies and Socio-Eco Research (ISSR) based in Kathmandu Nepal (Util July 2023)
